There is a quiet killer among us, but we all know is nearly impossible to avoid: ETS. They are very well called the consequences of smoking health of smokers, and in current years of so-called “second-hand smoke”. The trouble is that, regardless the recommendations, it is complicated to ignore exposing others to secondhand smoke, particularly children.

Research conducted by Armando Peruga and Annette Pruss-Ustun World Health association (WHO) on 192 countries, virtually all above the world, originated that each year more than half a million people who do not smoke, perish from the effects of smoking.

The trouble is that this killer is capable not merely to slay, even to destroy the lives of the huge bulk of people who are not victims, but they might drop sick dissimilar diseases tract. According to research published in the journal Lancet, 1% of deaths worldwide each year are associated to secondhand smoke.

Of these 603 000 victims, 40% are children, though the rest is nearly equally divided between men and women nonsmokers. So are the children most at risk, particularly in the poorest countries, where maybe the rules of prevention which we witness every day (such as smoking ban in public places), or the basic rules of hygiene are not respected. The variation is apparent looking at the figures: in Africa, deaths among children are 4 times higher than those of adults in Europe; although, the ratio is 1:500 down adults.

The major consequence of Passive smoking is ischemia which causes 379 000 deaths each year, go behind by respiratory infections (165.000), asthma (Almost 37 000) and lung cancer (21,400). And tell that smokers are expected in the world “soon”, so to tell, one billion and 200 million. According to data of WHO although, people exposed to the dangers of smoking are numerous more, including numerous billion.
